THE BIG "70"
This year our Managing Director John Mellors has turned '70″. John has been in the Electrical motor and rewind business since the 1960's and in this time has worked for Halls Electric Motor Repairs, Taylor and Goodman and British Vita.
Starting as a Mechanical Engineer and moving on to Works Manager, Northern area Manager and on to UK Engineering Director leaving in 2008 to start Elevated Engineering Services.
John started Elevated Engineering Services with engineers Steve Whitworth, Phillip Shaw. Gary Wheat and Daniel Ryan and the business expanded and moved to the current premises in 2017.
Although he could have retired several years ago, John has chosen to stay on as the lynchpin of EES and is very much involved with the day to day running of the business.
As well as being Managing Director, John remains involved in quoting and material sourcing and throughout his career has accumulated hundreds of contacts within the Rotating Electric Industry, Facilities Management sector and Elevator and Escalator industries.
John is still active outside work and enjoys nothing more than a round of Golf and spending time at the 19th hole with friends and former work colleagues.
John has always had an open-door policy and has leant an ear to all employees willing to be open with him. He is well thought of by his employees because of this and we would all like to wish him well and many more years of success.
