Background
A local hotel asked us to bring the irrigation system on its golf course back to life. The system had not worked for some time. With summer approaching, a heatwave forecast and a full season of golf ahead, it needed to be running again quickly.
What we found
The pump pressurisation unit was down and in need of restoration. The two submersible pumps in the pond had also stopped working. Corrosion and a lack of servicing had taken their toll: water ingress had begun, and the submersible pumps could not be repaired successfully.
What we did
- Replaced the two submersible pump units
- Fully overhauled the pressurisation units
- Inspected, cleaned and tested the control panel
- Overhauled and reinstalled the high-pressure Grundfos multistage pumps
- Recharged the pressure vessel and set it to the required pressure
The result
The irrigation system was back up and running in time for the hottest day of the year.
