Re-Rope

Elevated Engineering services has the Manpower and ability to Re-rope  / Re-belt all lifts from the smallest capacity Dumb Waiter to the largest Goods lifts.

We have successfully completed hundreds of Suspension rope / belt changes all over the UK right up to 20 floor tower blocks.

We have Professional Re-Ropers and NVQ3 Lift Engineers who can safely  carry out this work. We also have our own certified guide grip system and NVQ3 qualified Scaffolder who can design and build any Scaffold / Access system to carry out the works all in house. This negates the need for you to arrange any third party assistance as EES can do all this work in one quotation saving you time and money co-ordinating several contractors and reducing overall downtime for the end user.

Gearbox repairs inc. Bearings, Gears, re-seals

One of our main specialities is gearbox inspection and repair. At EES we can carry out supplementary testing to your requirements and produce a report on completion. From this we can formulate a list of recommendations for immediate action and future planning to ensure your customers get the best service out of their lift machine.

We can also provide many repairs for lift machines either on or off site dependant on the machine and location. We are specialists in doing as much of this work onsite or in-situ, which saves time and money hauling the unit into our workshop for refurbishment / repair.

Unfortunately not all machines are suitable for onsite repair  and when  this is the case we can dismantle as much as possible and remove offending parts to our workshop for repair before returning parts to site for re-assembly.

Motor repairs inc. Rewinds & Bearings

As with Gear repairs we offer a full inspection and repair service for many Motors in the lift industry from Fan Motors & Oil Coolers to Main Lifting Machines.

EES are Specialists in Motor failure Diagnosis and repair and can advise if the system is lacking in any way. There are many Lift Machines out there with Obsolete components and many that have had unavailable parts  for many years. EES can assist in a cost effective repair for your end user by re-winding motors, Manufacturing new Carbon Brushes, or complete unit overhauls saving you time and money on design of new Bed plates and layouts to fit an available alternative Machines. As we have our own NVQ3 Engineers we can also carry out this work for you on site in its entirety saving you valuable manpower to do more pressing work.

Ram Seals

Our Engineers are experienced in changing Ram Seals from all makes and designs of Hydraulic Ram.  We can carry out basic inspections and linishing of rams on site as well as Rams Seal changes  in situ on many systems. In the event of Scored or damaged sealing surfaces  we can supply new rams  and even Re-chroming as a last resort. As we have our own in-house scaffolder to NVQ3  we can also design and build appropriate access scaffold saving you time and money managing several contractors throughout the works.

Hydraulic Pumps

EES Are very experienced in Hydraulic Pump repair and fault Diagnosis. We have a full test rig in our workshop that can diagnose pump issues and allows us to test and ensure quality on completion of any repair. If your Hydraulic Pump or power pack is irreparable we can also assist in sourcing a suitable replacement, which will help keep downtime of the lift to a minimum.

Workshop Specific Jobs – Welding, Machining Precision Work

At our head office we have a well equipped workshop that will back up and support our engineers in the field and allow us the capability of completing more complex work in a controlled environment. We have precision engineers who can manufacture bushes and bearings where parts are not available and remanufacture shafts and components that are either obsolete or uneconomical to purchase from OEM sources. In addition to this we can assist in manufacturing one off Brackets , Bed Plates and components that would usually need a specialist fabricator.

We also have full time engineers completing Re-winds and Gearbox repairs for many Industries that have many years experience in virtually every manufacturer of motor / gearbox used in the UK.

Brake repairs / Relines

Many of the Older lift machines used in the UK are Single speed  units with little to no ability to control motor slow down and as a result brake pads get worn through use. A lot of modern machines also experience excessive brake pad wear due to Malfunction of poor adjustment. At EEs we can provide a Brake pad re-line service and set up badly adjusted units for optimal efficiency and performance.

EES can also assist with damaged coils  and solenoids which can also be difficult to source and our workshop team are very experienced in restoring these back to OEM requirements. We have on occasion assisted with provision of  aftermarket brake units and installation to comply with relevant standards required by Consultants, end user and BS.

Pulley/ Sheaves, Recuts and repairs

Old Pulleys and Sheaves can be difficult to source or repair. Not only can EES re-cut grooves and refurbish used pulleys and Sheaves we can also supply new. In addition to this we have come across many design flaws and been able to assist by adding additional lubrication points and upgrades to bearing and shaft materials giving a smoother riding better quality end product. We can also carry out all Sheave and pulley repairs to virtually any system and with our in House NVQ Scaffolder design and build our own access platforms to reach those difficult to get at Shaft top divertors, without you needing to employ third party contractors, reducing your project management requirements and down time awaiting other trades to carry out works in a managed sequence.

Safety Gear and Overspeed Governors

EES can repair  replace and maintain many of the Overspeed governors used within the lift industry. We can also source replacements and check correct function and tripping speed of a governor. In the event of complete failure or uneconomical repair we can also assist in sourcing a replacement over speed governor to the requirements of the project.

Hand in hand with OSG’s are Safety gear and when these become troublesome EES are here to assist in resolving the underlying causes of false activation and malfunction. Its not unusual to find bent & twisted components or car mounted bracketry and if obsolete EES can assist in either sourcing or manufacturing replacement components or one off items to rectify or strengthen the original design.

Other

EES have many other works we can assist in including, Tachometer provision and mounting, Beam Testing, Supplementary testing and fault diagnosis for main component failure.
